


Graptophyllum 'Holly Hedge'
Graptophyllum 'Holly Hedge' is a cross between Graptophyllum ilicifolium and Graptophyllum excelsum forming into a low bushy shrub. Showing hybrid vigour it grows quickly to reach a height of 1 to 1.5m with a spread of 1m. 'Holly Hedge' is suited to most conditions, but prefers a warm position with water during dry times. Brilliant Red, glossy, fuchsia type flowers occur all along the branches during November/December. Great for cut flowers as they are long lasting when cut. The foliage although a little pricly is ideal for small birds to nest in to keep them safe from predators and also makes great cut foliage for fillers in your vases. Planted as a hedge they are fabulous and take readily to pruning tokeep them in shape. Prune regularly and fertilise with anative fertiliser to keep 'Holly Hedge' happy and healthy in your garden.
