Elaeocarpus bancroftii - 'Johnstone River almond' is native to North Qld, but is adaptable to growing in most regions along the East Coast, we have established trees in NE NSW. A small to medium-sized tree that can reach a height of up to 25metres in the rainforest but forms a neat busy small tree in cultivation. The flowers are spectacular during Autumn and Winter followed by app 3cm edible nuts of excellent flavour, equalling that of Macadamia. These plants are cutting grown off our fruiting trees, so will flower and fruit quite young. Supplies in a 100mm pot
